Sputnik-v Vaccine: Good news on Corona vaccine, first consignment of Russian vaccine arrived in India

Amid growing infection of the corona virus, people all over the world are waiting for the corona vaccine. Russia surprised the world by approving the world’s first corona vaccine Sputnik-V in August. However, the final phase of this vaccine trial has not yet been completed and emergency approvals have been introduced in Russia to high risk groups. At the same time, the leading pharma company in India, Dr. Reddy Laboratories is going to trial this vaccine. The second and third phases of this vaccine are to be tried in the country. It is reported that the vaccine consignment has reached India for this.

According to media reports, the first shipment of the Russian corona vaccine Sputnik-V has arrived in India. Recently, the pharma company Dr. Reddy’s was allowed to conduct human trials of the Russian Corona vaccine in India. A video of the small containers being taken out of Dr. Reddy’s and Sputnik-V’s vehicles went viral on social media on Wednesday, after which this possibility was bolstered.

According to a report by New Indian Express, a senior official of the pharma company Dr. Reddy’s Lab has also confirmed that the Russian vaccine has arrived in India and its clinical trials will start soon. It is known that India’s leading pharma company Dr. Reddy’s will soon start Adaptive Clinical Trials of the second and third phase of Sputnik-V in India.

According to media reports, a multi-center and randomized study of the Sputnik-V vaccine will be conducted. This will include safety and immunogenic studies. In September, when Dr. Reddy partnered with the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) for the clinical trial and distribution of this vaccine in India. Under the partnership, RDIF will supply 100 million doses of the vaccine to Dr. Reddy on regulatory approval.

Currently in the race on vaccine, Russia has tried to prove itself ahead of other countries once again. It has claimed to surpass Sputnik-V’s success with other vaccine candidates. If Russia’s claim is true, then it may be good news for the world waiting for a safe and effective vaccine.
