Larsen & Toubro Limited (L&T), India’s biggest manufacturing, technology, finance, construction, and engineering company invites applications for freshers hiring.
Till August 2021, L&T has completed the hiring of more than 1,800 freshers through campus recruitment. Out of the 1,800 freshers, 1,100 graduate and post-graduate engineers joined on one single day.
A well-crafted, 20-day induction program has been run for these youngsters in a virtual mode with the help of online platforms to bring in a diversity of methodology and enhance the engagement level.
L&T is hiring for the positions of Graduate Engineer Trainees (GETs), Post-graduate Engineer Trainees (PGETs), Junior Engineer Trainees (JETs), Management Trainees, Post Graduate Management Trainees (PGMTs), and Chartered Accountants.
The freshers are usually selected through campus recruitment or through GATE score. L&T’s campus recruitment teams visit India’s leading colleges, offering opportunities to bright engineers.
The selection process is rigorous and the company looks for candidates who match L&T’s value system, have a strong knowledge base and have the skill to apply concepts.
As part of L&T’s on-boarding process, all fresh entrants go through an Induction Programme, a ‘finishing school’ as it were, which gives them an overview of the breadth of work. This program titled ‘Prayag’ helps all Graduate and Post Graduate Trainees get acclimatized to our work culture and start delivering from day one.
The Prayag programme consists of an orientation on L&T, its businesses, and projects undertaken. The trainees work on technical projects, individual assignments, product simulations, and undergo various technical as well non-technical exercises online.
The programme is a good mix of technical & behavioural programmes along with a lot of fun-filled activities such as In-basket exercises, Games, Contests and Cultural Programmes.
